Division of Cardiology Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center 2929 South Ellis Avenue Chicago, IL 60616 We report a rare case of acute aortic dissection in a young, corticosteroid-treated hyper tensive patient with a long-standing history of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). A brief review of literature on aortic dissection in lupus erythematosus is presented.
