Angioplasty of Bilateral Renal Artery Occlusion- A Case ReportDepartment of Medical Imaging, Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Department of Medical Imaging, Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of the renal arteries is a commonly performed procedure. The authors report a case of bilateral recanalization and dilation of occluded renal arteries in a young female. In this case, the procedure allowed for conservative management rather than emergency surgery, which would have been exceedingly hazardous to the patient's renal function and life.
