Deborah Heart and Lung Center, An Affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Browns Mills, New Jersey Ostial left main coronary stenosis has a poor prognosis and increased mor tality rate with coronary arteriography. Due to its anatomic location, visualiza tion of the stenosis may be difficult. A high index of suspicion based upon only a few signs should prompt the physician to perform certain maneuvers to obtain the correct diagnosis. Four illustrative cases are presented and discussed.
