Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York The authors report a rare case of angiographically demonstrated simultaneous obstruction of both venae cavae. The case serves to illustrate an interesting and relatively unique mesenteric portal venous mechanism which became effective as a joint collateral pathway for both regions.
